I have long been passionate about helping people, having worked in nursing homes, home health care, and physical therapy offices. I became an acupuncturist because I was interested in working with people and their emotional, mental, and physical health. I believe in collaborative healthcare – I work with you and provide education and support so you can take steps to feel your best. I find joy in connecting with people in a meaningful, compassionate way and I strive to provide comprehensive, whole person care so that you can live your best life. I have helped folks with a wide range of issues including digestive concerns, depression and anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, and I have specialized training in pain conditions and injury recovery.
I have a B.S. in kinesiology and psychology from Southwest Minnesota State University. I received my Masters of Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2012. While at Northwestern I completed internships at the Courage Center working with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, and at Fairview Hospital managing postoperative pain.
When away from the clinic, you will likely find me chasing my two kids around the house, woodworking, shooting hoops, taking long walks, or reading.
